There should be an option for the player to back up their registration, most notably their keypair. This will help the user to move to another pc or reconnect when they have reinstalled their pc.
This feature should:
1) Allow the user a backup of their account (from the settings menu)
2) Allow the user to copy a "magic string" containing all of their information (that can be imported on another pc
3) The registration / onboarding should allow for the user to choose a "I want to restore a backup", which would essentially let them enter the code to move their account to this new pc / client.
