Currently the plugin offers the same visualizations for downloading and uploading than the OG Mare. Essentially we have options for:
1) Popup with downloads / uploads status
2) Green bar under someone's character showing XX / XX MB downloaded
3) Yellow text under someone's character saying "Uploading".
When walking into a venue this is not very helpful, and all that rendering doesn't help either.
I want to improve this in a number of ways.
1) The old ways will stay, and can be turned on at will if people miss it.
2) I will create an option (default = on) of users that are currently being downloaded in the HonseUI overview, much like the "this person is playing sound" icon. On hover it will show progress.
3) I will create an option that will show some kind of icon on the character that's being uploaded or downloaded from. Whether that's in the name plate or elsewhere, I'm not sure yet. I could also opt for a moodle integration where I set a buff "uploading" and "downloading" to someone that is local for this purpose. Unclear, and unsure, will discuss.
4) I will add options to keep the bar, but to customize it, make it thinner, and make it essentially go from empty to full without any text.
5) All of these options will be shown in the client as possible options to improve the current way of UX.
